Working for the good of others, not oneself, is what it means to be good; Paul reiterates this in Gal. 6:10. Another godly quality is faithfulness, which is the ability to constantly follow through on commitments. According to Matthew, Jesus describes himself as gentle.
As a trait of God and a fruit of the Holy Spirit, "goodness" includes moral qualities such as virtue, righteousness, and benevolence. It is an idea that manifests itself in ways that are consistent with God's plan and reflect His character, including deeds, motives, and character.
How to show goodness
1. Love and compassion:
-Put God first: Give your relationship with God first priority and let His love guide your behaviour.
-Love your neighbour: Show the love of God to everyone in your vicinity, even the hardest people to love.
-Be kind: Be considerate to the needs of others, particularly those who are suffering or in need.
-Treat your adversaries with kindness: Reflect God's forgiveness by being good to those who have offended you.
.2. Goodness-Based Actions: Set a positive example: Show others what it means to be a Christian by living a life that embodies God's nature.
-Assist others: Provide support, whether it be emotional or practical, such as moving or cleaning.
-Be giving: Give people what you have, including your time, money, and abilities.

Differences between goodness and kindness
Goodness
1.Internal Quality: Goodness is defined as a condition of being or a transformation in character brought about by a relationship with God. Moral excellence is the state of being morally upright, honest, and righteous.
2.Origin of Action: Kindness emanates from goodness. As an illustration, Psalm 119:68 states, "You are good, and what you do is good," emphasising both God's kindness and the virtue of His deeds.
Kindness
1. External Expression: Kindness is the behaviour that exemplifies the virtue that exists inside.
2.Practical Application: It entails treating people with kindness, generosity, and consideration. Mercy and Compassion: Kindness is defined by empathy, compassion, and a desire to lessen suffering. For instance, Luke 6:35 states, "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and evil," exemplifying compassion in action towards even the most hostile people.
Importance of goodness
1. Spiritual Development and Transformation: God's compassion results in repentance According to the Bible, people may realise their need for change and forgiveness as a result of God's love and patience, which then causes them to turn from their sins and turn to Him.
-God's goodness improves us: We grow closer to Him by strengthening, healing, and restoring ourselves by acting in a way that reflects His goodness. God's goodness enables us to overcome sin: God's goodness enables us to overcome challenges, obtain direction, and be prepared to lead more moral lives.
